Welcome to the revamped Flicks & Forks Monthly Letter, where I blend classic movies with delicious retro recipes so swell they'll have you swinging like it’s Saturday night at the soda fountain! Whether you're looking to cozy up solo or host a lively soirée, this month's blend of classic cinema and nostalgic recipes will make your movie nights the cat’s pajamas!

This month, step into the intrigue and danger of wartime Lisbon with June's Featured Flick from 1944, masterfully directed by Jean Negulesco. The film plunges you into the shadowy world of espionage, where a Dutch freedom fighter, evading Nazi capture, becomes entangled with a secretive underground group. Amid whispered alliances and veiled suspicions, a chilling truth emerges—one of them is a traitor. Explore the intricate storytelling and appreciate Negulesco's masterful direction in the Director Spotlight segment. Read about his life, artistry, and the enduring legacy he’s left on the silver screen.

Ready to elevate your movie night with a touch of retro charm? Flicks & Forks Movie Night Recipe Corner brings you throwback recipes as entertaining as the film you're watching. Whether you're whipping up foods for yourself or hosting a gathering, these recipes will not only satisfy cravings but also set the perfect mood. Indulge in the magic of classic cinema while savoring flavors that are sure to spark joy and keep the good vibes rolling!
